Medium: watercolour and acrylics

Kathy Nay is a local watercolour and acrylic artist who paints in a realistic style. She is primarily a landscape and waterscape painter - celebrating the beauty of nature around us; with a focus on British Columbia. Kathy always has a camera with her on her travels and hiking adventures. Back in her studio, Kathy uses these photos as inspiration for her artwork. Using a limited palette, she is able to create paintings with colour harmony and lights and shadows to capture the attention of the viewer. She is a member of the Garibaldi Art Club, the Federation of Canadian Artists, and the Fraser Valley Chapter of the FCA. In her studio, Kathy enjoys sharing her knowledge of watercolour painting to her students and is always ready to chat with visitors to her studio; explaining the story behind each of her paintings.
