CALL FOR ARTISTs

The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour is currently accepting applications from visual artists for our 2026 Art Studio Tour.

Dates:  Saturday May 9 and Sunday May 10 from 10am to 4pm. Mother's Day

We are excited about curating an extraordinary art tour through Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.  We are seeking applications from visual artists working in any medium with a particular focus on new bodies of work and uniqueness.

Artists are selected by our board of directors based on the following criteria:

• Ability to host the public in your studio or a shared studio with another artist

• Quality & uniqueness of artwork

• Willingness to volunteer

• Social media presence

We welcome diverse mediums including but not limited to woodwork, glass, ceramics, textile, photography, printmaking, sculpture, film, mixed media, and painting

Preference is given to local artists

Before moving forward with your application please prepare the following materials

Artist Bio:

150 word maximum, written in the third person, and proofread please.

6 images as follows:

1 good quality horizontal (landscape) photograph of your artwork that is between 1MB and 4MB size. This file must be named with your first name, last name and the word brochure.  Example:  tracyquinseybrochure.png.

1 good quality vertical (portrait format) photograph of you in your studio and/or you with your artwork  that is between 1MB and 4MB in size.  This file must be named with your first name, last name and the word website1.  Example:  tracyquinseywebsite1.png  [note: This is an opportunity to highlight what is unique about you, your process, your art, your studio and surrounding location.)

4 additional good quality horizontal OR vertical photographs of your artwork that are between 1MB and 4MB in size.  These files must be named with your first name, last name, website followed by the numbers 2 through 5.  Example:  tracyquinseywebsite2.png, tracyquinseywebsite3.png, tracyquinseywebsite4.png, tracyquinseywebsite5.png,  [note:  these images will be cropped to a square format.

All image formats should preferably be PNG or also JPEG.

Fees:  There is no fee to apply.  Successful artists will be notified by December 1, 2025 and are required to pay a fee of $125.00 (individuals) $200 (established local community groups) within 5 days of selection.

The Art Studio Tour is operated by the MRPM Art Studio Tour Society, a non-profit, volunteer-based organization established in 1998 to connect artists and community.  The Art Studio Tour presents a unique opportunity for the public to visit artists' studios and meet a wide variety of local creatives.  Together, we offer insight and appreciation of visual art practices in Ridge Meadows.
