Medium: Clay

Ceramic artist Kerry McLaren began her journey with clay in 1998, participating in a local Arts Council ceramic class. Kerry now creates from her garden studio in beautiful Maple Ridge, B.C. Always inspired by her natural surroundings, Kerry especially loves flowers and fantasy.

Most of Kerry’s pieces are hand built from large slabs of clay, utilizing texture and embellishing techniques. She often infuses personal history by imprinting her grandmother’s dollies and her favourite finds from her garden into the raw clay.

From whimsical sculpture to practical tableware, Kerry’s work delights.
