From Lougheed Hwy, turn left at 240th St. Turn right on 104th Avenue, follow up hill to 248th St. (Jackson Road) and turn left. Keep on 248th past 108th Avenue to 110th and turn left. Third driveway on the left.

Since childhood, Kathy has always shown a talent and interest in drawing and painting, but she did not begin to seriously develop this talent until later in life. She was drawn to the medium of watercolor and has studied various techniques and methods with artist Cheryl Fortier. Kathy’s paintings are recognized for their clear, clean colors and dramatic lights and darks. Patterns of light and shadow is a theme that runs through all her work and continues to capture the viewer’s attention.

She has participated in many juried and group shows and has won several awards. Kathy’s works can be found in private, corporate, and public collections. She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and Vice President of the Garabaldi Art Club.

Sharing her knowledge and love of art with her students, Kathy gives instruction in her studio as well as doing demonstrations and workshops for various art groups.

Watercolor is still her primary medium but she does also work in acrylics and mixed media. She is currently working on a series of large, full sheet paintings, mainly depicting scenes and vignettes from Europe. Bookbinding is also one of Kathy’s new pursuits and she plans to give workshops in the future.
