Kristin is a Vancouver artist who recently moved to Maple Ridge, BC. She received formal art training from UBC, and from the Ecole Regionale des Beaux Arts de Reims, France.

After seven years in France, Kristin returned to BC to become an instructor with Emily Carr College of Art and Design, teaching drawing, colour and design. In 1987, she was artist-in-residence for the E.C.C.A.D. Outreach Program at Vernon, BC and was also Jurist for PACIFETE, the Francophone Festival of the Arts sponsored by the Canada Council.

Her work has been selected twice for the Joan Miro Foundation’s International Drawing Competition and their touring exhibitions in Spain, Rumania, Poland and Bulgaria. She has received an honorary medal from the City of Vichy, France for work exhibited in the U.F.A.C.S.I. XII international Salon. Kristin’s work has been seen in numerous exhibitions in France, Canada and the United States, in several Steven Cannell television productions, and her work is held in Canadian, Irish, Scottish and French private and corporate collections.

"An artist’s task is to interpret the surrounding world. Sometimes I like to explore the interior world of whimsical imagination with adventurous drawings. Sometimes I simply like to capture a moment that I find beautiful or one I find humorous. Other times I react to my daily work - whether corporate business or household chores. Art is my meditation and my life’s work."
